We focus on a series of salient issues on campus that are tied to actions by the national AAUP. Currently, some of the issues we educate about and organize around include:
- Shared Governance
- We provide our Johns Hopkins University Council representatives with input derived from interdivisional faculty discussion.
- We highlight issues and successes related to faculty governance bodies across Hopkins.
- We provide resources to elected leadership and other faculty within Hopkins about best practices in shared governance.
- Academic Freedom
- We consult with and provide informational support for faculty experiencing potential restrictions of academic freedom in regards to OIE complaints, dynamics with other faculty, administrative leadership, etc.
