About

Johns Hopkins plays an important role in the American Association of University Professor. Philosopher Arthur O. Lovejoy was among its founders and served in leadership roles in its early years.

We are a university-wide body, with members from across the nine schools of Johns Hopkins. Our chapter president is from the School of Education, our vice president is from the Schools of Public Health and Medicine, and our secretary is from the School of Arts and Sciences. As such, we plan to advocate for a more faculty-centered vision of “One University.”

The local chapter is relaunching after several years of dormancy.
